@4TristanS
co-founder & cto of @reflectorbital. on leave from Stanford.
Energy is the fundamental building block that progresses consciousness. The sun is the greatest source of energy we can access and turn into electricity, and we’re building the mechanism to control it. Our first reflector launches next year, and we’re scaling our constellation…
Announcing our $20M Series A led by @Lux_Capital with participation from @sequoia and @starship_vc. We truly couldn’t be building this with better partners. The sun will power ~everything until we outgrow this solar system, and we are taking the first practical steps to…
The math is obvious and unequivocal: ~100% of energy over time comes from the Sun. Everything else is a rounding error.
People forget that power is literally power. Whoever harnesses the most power from the sun, wins.
Anyone want to help me churn through a huge amount of CAD to-do's next week (maybe even a few weeks if you're having fun). Will pay $$$. We are in Hawthorne.
The new SaaS is "Sunlight as a Service". I dove into this awesome interview by @ti_morse, speaking with @bennbuilds, the co-founder of @reflectorbital on the. Let's break down this "Dyson sphere company" 🌎 ✅ There is a vast energy potential. The sun produces about 5,000 times…
My first interview with Ben Nowack (@bennbuilds) co-founder of Reflect Orbital Reflect is launching mirrors into space to sell sunlight after dark. 0:29 Moving sunlight 3:04 Building hard things 5:01 Making bombs as a kid 6:46 Building RC planes 8:32 Getting materials from the…
Why build Reflect? Our CEO & Co-Founder Ben Nowack talks about why and how his journey has contributed to our mission. Listen to his chat with @ti_morse to hear for yourself.

Everything I know best was learned this way
How to become expert at thing: 1 iteratively take on concrete projects and accomplish them depth wise, learning “on demand” (ie don’t learn bottom up breadth wise) 2 teach/summarize everything you learn in your own words 3 only compare yourself to younger you, never to others
Our CEO and Co-Founder Ben Nowack spoke at Deep Tech Week on Tuesday about what it actually takes to reach Kardashev Type 2 and how Reflect Orbital is making it real, with sunlight from space. We’re hiring, come build the future with us.
Ai will take over for most thoughts like combustion took over for most manual labor. An insane amount of cheap energy is required to win the decades long ai marathon. We are building the tools to capture insane amounts of energy directly from the sun, even at night ☀️🌎🪞

I wonder why we haven’t seen any very notable, impactful corporations create a college oriented towards forming the kind of engineering talent they need
In a world where money doesn’t matter anymore, the truly limited quantity is time. With free energy and free, sustainable manufacturing of things we need, money will no longer be necessary. The most valuable things will be things that save you lots of time.
I have a feeling that domestic flights will become less favorable relative to overnight autonomous point to point drives where you just sleep while your car takes you somewhere
I dislike whoever made the airbus window shade handle have sharp corners. If use your design for even a few seconds you’ll find the obvious mistakes
