Today marks the 10th anniversary of the 2nd Infantry Division’s transformation into the ROK-U.S. Combined Division — a historic milestone that reflects a decade of close partnership, shared sacrifice, and unwavering commitment between U.S. and Republic of Korea forces.

U.S. Army, U.S. Air Force, and the Republic of Korea Air Force personnel participated in a Rapid Airfield Damage Recovery training, including large crater repair, under contested conditions. The joint exercise enhances interoperability and ensures airfield operability.




U.S. Army and Republic of Korea soldiers, along with family members, gathered to rededicate Lombardo Field in honor of 1st Lt. Thomas Lombardo, a Korean War hero remembered for his courage and sacrifice.




Our thoughts are with the people of the ROK during this tragic time caused by ongoing wildfires in Gyeongsang. We are proud of our Soldiers from 2nd Combat Aviation Brigade supporting the firefighting efforts alongside our ROK allies.

Soldiers from the 65th Medical Brigade participated in a Freedom Lift medical evacuation training today as part of the ongoing #FreedomShield25 exercise. The training, which simulated the rapid deployment and evacuation of casualties, is crucial in ensuring military readiness.




Soldiers assigned to the 1-2nd Stryker Brigade Combat Team and the Republic of Korea Army participate in a training exercise at the Korea Combat Training Center, South Korea. The exercise strengthens interoperability and enhances combat readiness between U.S. and ROK forces.




Soldiers from the 5th Squadron, 17th Cavalry Regiment, 2nd Combat Aviation Brigade, perform field maintenance on an AH-64 Apache at the Forward Arming and Refueling Point (FARP). The maintenance ensures the aircraft remains mission-ready.




Korean Military Academy cadets and 11th Engineer Battalion soldiers train rigorously to prepare for the Spring Sandhurst competition at the U.S. Military Academy, enhancing their mental and physical readiness for competitive soldier skills.




On 22 January in Dongducheon City, outside of Camp Casey, Soldiers from the Thunder Brigade participated in a charcoal, yeontan, distribution. Soldiers delivered 2000 yeontan to 8 households in cooperation with ROK Army’s 5th Infantry Division and volunteers from Dongducheon City

The SHARP team hopes to establish a Division free of sexual assault, sexual harassment, and associated retaliatory behaviors by reminding the Division every year with these proclamations that sexual violence has no place within the Army.


The Sexual Harassment/Assault Response and Prevention team from the 2nd Infantry Division/ROK-U.S. Combined Division collaborated with the 411th Contracting Support Brigade during a Sexual Assault Awareness and Prevention Month motorcycle ride.

𝐀𝐫𝐛𝐨𝐫 𝐃𝐚𝐲 The 2nd Infantry Division/ROK-U.S. Combined Division commemorated the 2024 Arbor Day Tree Planting ceremony with Vice Governor Oh, Who Seok, Gyeonggi Province, as part of the Good Neighbor Program.


The 2nd Infantry Division/ROK-U.S. Combined Division commemorates the anniversary of the seamen who lost their lives in the ROK Cheonan sinking on March 26, 2010. The ROKS Cheonan corvette sank near the western Northern Limit Line killing 46 sailors.
