Me anytime I see the annoying and ridiculous phrase “YOU ARE NOT READY!” about a book: “I’ve survived Malazan: Book of the Fallen fools, I’m ready for anything… don’t tell me I’m not ready… have you survived Y’Ghatan? Didn’t think so…”
About 20% through this so far. Another slow starter but so far a little more interesting than the past 2 books. Maybe it’s because I know more. Maybe it’s because the novella and short stories leave for some juicy possibilities. Hoping it picks up soon!

Finished this yesterday. Overall, I enjoyed The Exile quite a bit. I think I like The Fall more overall, as the ending to this one was a little anti-climactic but still a strong read. On to Of War and Ruin which I’ll start on Monday! 4 ⭐️ 8/10 I need Calen to meet Dayne…

Very excited to start this prequel series that seems to be an origin series for Kellenved and Dancer. Seeing them climb from youth upstarts? Yes please! The books are shorter and I hear tighter. I’m here for it!

Just over halfway done. Pacing is much improved and man, the last few chapters have been a blast. Also, a very memorable and iconic scene just happened and I think it gave me chills… bravo!

There’s no genre better suited for floating bookshelves than fantasy… looking good @BiblioTheory and @adrianmgibson with @RCahillAuthor Maybe the spark is holding the books up…

Excited to get this in the mail! Honestly hope he keeps up with this trend because the Secret Project books have been a blast! Won’t get to this until I finish Demon in White but can’t wait.

Holy moly… what an ending to the NOTME books! So much happened in the last 60 pages that bumped this to my first 5 ⭐️ rating for an ICE book and this series. Got to love when a series wraps up with a big bow on so many threads (some from MBOTF too). 9.5/10

Well that first chapter was a blast! I loved Dayne from the last book and was beyond excited to find we are getting his backstory here. Brutal battle already and I’m ready for more!

Wow… what an ending! Thrilling finish to this fantastic sequel. I called the big reveal at the end after Chapter 2 of the first book and feel quite vindicated for sticking through it despite Ryan’s red herrings to try and throw me off the scent haha. 5 ⭐️ 9.5/10

I have been most excited for this book and man, the first paragraph already has the book living up to the name. Love this series, love Dresden. About to enjoy the ride!

Wow, Chapter 30 made me a wreck and the series just got a LOT darker. Now just passed my favorite chapter of the series (Chapter 43 Rist- Trial) and I’m so locked in. Got strong Wheel of Time vibes and some big theories. Should finish this next week!

Finished this… wow… what a book… my favorite so far. Easy 5 ⭐️ and my first 10/10 rating for the series. Phenomenal plot, action scenes, tension, high stakes with series changing events. Now onto my most anticipated book Changes. Seems to be most fans #1 fav

About halfway through this. Enjoying it more than Blood and Bone. Esslemont has come a long way from Night of Knives.

Wow… it’s about to be a party on Demonreach… this book is so good on so many levels. About 70% through now and hard to put down

Started this today. What can fans tell me about it? Is it a slow burn like Howling Dark, slow until the last quarter? Or is it better paced and more riveting? Already have spotted 2 references from the short story collection I just finished. Here we go!

Finished this collection of short stories. They were all solid, the first one being the most memorable and seems to have the biggest implications for the series going forward. Last story was confusing with an unreliable narrator but interesting. On to Demon In White next!

Happy Father’s Day to all the fathers out there. Got this bad boy this morning. Only on book 2 but can’t wait to read more. Should get to this by August I think. Not a bad gift eh?

Read a few more stories. I’m a sucker for (the trope?) when you see the protagonist in beast mode through other characters eyes. So far all the stories have been good and somewhat enlightening
