Very concerning when I hear folk suggesting the PM must go because he no longer has the authority to introduce new lockdown restrictions. If this whole sorry saga teaches us one thing it’s that the government must never legislate for how we choose to socialise again.

Would rather the govt was held responsible for years of underinvestment in services, and for the economic inequality that drove the pandemic Rather than for meeting for drinks in a garden the media class seem more motivated by puritanism than tackling structural inequality
