I'm begging everyone who is concerned with "proshippers" to *please* learn about the Hays Code and how censorship greatly affects queer people.
this ban is setting a future precedent, we should be concerned for what kind of media censorship we should expect down the line. what sorts of creative freedom could disappear on a mass scale, kindly screw off with the “shipping discourse” & stop oversimplifying serious concerns
Any censorship is bad. Locking websites behind ID verification is crazy. Mastercard and Visa controlling which games we play is awful. Fuck this endless puritanical bullshit.
Censorship of any type of art is one of the most dangerous actions that can become normalized. It is worrying that, given the current situation, those who should be most against it see it as something good, all under the excuse of moral superiority
