I grew up around addiction, violence, mental illness, infidelity, & cowardice, but also love and tenaciousness in the face of evil. When critics praise art for its 'subtlety' or 'realism,' I often see repression & myopia. I want art that wounds. Thanks, Caro, 4 the questions.
